Learning of the cardio-vascular diseases of surgical interest, indication to surgical treatment, surgical procedures performed and expected results

Learning Outcomes
Teach the student to recognise the pathological entities of the cardiovascular system of surgical interest, to be able to distinguish those cases to be referred for specialistic surgical evaluation, to know the surgical procedures with their relative and absolute contraindications and the related complications
Prerequisites
Before attending the coures, the student should be optimally confident with the anatomy, physiology, pathology, physiopathology and semeiotic of the cardiovascular system

Front lessons and interactive discussion of clinical cases
Assessment Methods
At the end of the course, the assessment of learning will take place through a written assignment with multiple choice questions on theory and clinical cases. the evaluation will be based on a mark out of thirty which then results in the overall mark out of thirty, expression of a weighted average with a final evaluation shared by the teachers of the individual modules. The exam is passed when the final mark is 18 or higher. The assignment of the highest marks with honors (30 with honors) is envisaged
