Carry out a health needs analysis of a population based on health and social data available to the healthcare provider.
Build effective response strategies to health needs on the basis of scientific evidence, through consultation of adequate scientific databases.
Acquire knowledge on the actors of formal and informal care
Analyze care networks by distinguishing between types of networks and actors involved in care
Build care networks for the patient by involving the various actors and resources available, considering the needs of the various caregivers
Nursing/midwifery management of the needs of individual citizens and communities
Manage, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate preventative, comprehensive, continuous, timely and high-quality care strategies in response to actual or potential health problems that may arise in contexts of common life
Design and implement innovative models for the prevention and management of priority health problems inherent to the community, chronicity and family.

The course will consist of lectures, exercises relating to research and critical analysis of relevant documentation and group work for the analysis of cases, the design of surveys and interventions

Multiple-choice questionnaires, based on scenario analysis or activity science reports. Approximately, there are 8 questions for each credit, which may however vary with the variation of their complexity.
The exam will be online using the platform DIR-EXAM

Il contesto storico, sociale, politico e ideologico del lavoro di cura familiare: cambiamenti economici e sociali, dentro e fuori la famiglia;
l’identità sociale e familiare femminile: la famiglia dei sentimenti e dell’educazione; l’ immobilismo” dei rapporti di genere nel lavoro familiare; I sentimenti come elemento distintivo femminile; l’etica della cura; Il lavoro di cura informale come forma di ingiustizia sociale; La dimensione politica della cura e i rapporti di potere nelle società; L’eticità della mercificazione della cura
Attori della cura: stato, mercato, famiglia e terzo settore e reti assistenziali (reti primarie informali quali famiglia, amici e vicini di casa, assistenti familiari, reti secondarie informali, ovvero le organizzazioni di volontariato, reti secondarie formali: servizi sanitari e sociali)

At the end of the course the student will be able to:
- develop an analysis of the needs of the population in charge, through the use of available data organized ad hoc. On this basis he or she will be able to collaborate in the construction of a response strategy based on evidence-based interventions
- contribute to health promotion through health education, prevention and early diagnosis;
- apply empowerment and social empowerment interventions;
- promote and participate in research activities on prevention.
- Define and be able to recognize the concepts of need, equity, inequality, health promotion, fragility and vulnerability, chronicity, deprivation.
- Learn more about and learn about the salient values/contents on health issues of the WHO, Ottawa Charter and Astana.
- Know the theoretical assumptions that underlie the care models for taking care of people in chronic conditions and know how to adapt them to different contexts.
- Design interventions on target populations of elderly, chronic, frail, immigrants, children/adolescents.
- define sociological concepts of care and the context in which it takes shape
- recognize the actors who are involved in care and assistance networks today
- define and detect the integration of services and professionals in the health and socio-health sectors and the integration between the various actors who, in various capacities, are involved in the process of caring for non-self-sufficient individuals (long-term sick, elderly, disabled and disabled)
