The exam consists of a written test on one or more topics presented during the course.
Detailed Syllabus
- Introduction to general psychology (perception, attention, memory, learning, language, motivation, emotions)
- communication (verbal, non-verbal, pragmatics of communication, active listening, empathy, communication errors)
- the helping relationship (fears of the patient, motivation, communication as a tool)
- Caring and taking care (biopsychosocial model)
- disease, pain and burnout (stress, reactions to diagnosis, defense mechanisms, chronic pain, total pain, burnout syndrome)
Expected Learning Outcomes
The student must demonstrate that he has assimilated the basic notions of General Psychology, learned during the lessons, in an adequate way to deal effectively with subsequent courses
