Reference Texts
Dal sintomo all'imaging... dall'imaging alla radioterapia (Idelson-Gnocchi)

Diagnostica per immagini. Risonanza magnetica. Tavole teorico-pratiche (Idelson-Gnocchi)

Diagnostica per immagini. Tc multidetettore. Tavole teorico-pratiche (Idelson-Gnocchi)

Radiologia convenzionale. Tavole teorico-pratiche (Idelson-Gnocchi)
Learning Outcomes
The goal is to provide the student with the technical knowledge of acquisition, re-construction and post-processing of imaging through CT and MRI, with specific reference to the optimization of the imaging protocol in relation to the clinical question.
The student must also know the main clinical indications for the Tc and Rm exams,
and understand the sequences used in abdominal MRI protocols and learn to recognize them.
Prerequisites
The student must have adequate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, physics, radiobiology and radiation protection.
Teaching Methods
Lectures and practical exercises in the ward
Additional Information
The teacher gives the availability, in the reception of the students, to solve the single critical issues with targeted tutoring
Assessment Methods
Multiple choice test
Detailed Syllabus
Fundamentals of CT in relation to thoracic, abdominal, head neck and skeletal diagnostics, with particular attention to the hardware characteristics and techniques for optimizing the radiation dose in relation to the clinical question.
Fundamentals of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Clinical integration to the technical execution of the MRI examination, in particular foundations of medicine aimed at understanding the clinical question for a reasoned selection of the MRI protocol in relation to the pathology, clinical question and cost / benefit ratio. Provide basic medical content and develop the technical and practical knowledge previously acquired in order to optimize the execution of MRI exams in the breast, abdominal, musculoskeletal and thoracic areas
Expected Learning Outcomes
The student must have acquired adequate knowledge to be able to carry out his / her activity in the Tc / Rm sectors
