The workshop corresponds to the Induction Week in September. It will introduce students to the skin health and care industry, the main areas of investment of companies, and soft skills. The evaluation of the workshop will be based on the participation in a project focused on the communication of science.

I will use slide that will not made available, so taking notes is strongly advisable.

The aim is to write valuable scientific articles that the general public can easily read and understand.

A good English level is mandatory as well as a strong and consistent writing style.

This course is a writing laboratory where students will immediately apply what they are learning. The lab shall work as a little newsroom where teamwork and constant improvement are an effective part of the journey. Writing and producing material will be solo work, but the entire class shall help each other for the better result.

I shall evaluate how the article is written, if it is suitable and understandable for a general public (therefore strong jargon shall be avoid as much as possible), if it complies the Seo rules, if it is delivered on time as well as if it is paired with the proper photos. The scientific mentor shall evaluate the scientific content considering its originality, the strong basis on which the assumptions are made, the reliability of the sources and the observations made by the students. The final mark will be expressed in 30/30 with the possibility of the laude if the product will be consistent, wide and curated in all details.

In the first part I will explain how to write an article for the online student magazine aimed at a general public.
The goal is to produce at least one product per student to be published on https://www.emotion-master.eu/emotion-student-magazine/
The product shall be an article with photos and other possible elements such as video, audio, infographics.
We dive into how to choose a topic of interest, how to choose a title and how to deliver the message.
Then we will focus on the SEO writing for a better positioning of the article.

The student shall write at least a scientific article with photos. Photos can be taken personally, produced with AI or taken from website with free common licence.
