The module aims to allow the learning of the principles that allow the approach to the study of the skin and its adnexa. It consists in the modalities of relief of objective and subjective symptoms related to the various skin diseases, with particular regard to the pathologies of the oral cavity.

Lining tissues: lining mucosa, specialized mucosa, masticatory mucosa.
Tongue. Bones, muscles, vessels, cranial nerves of odontostomatological interest.
Saliva: main functions.
General concepts of odontostomatological semeiotics.
Anamnesis: family, physiological, remote pathological, proximate pathological, pharmacological.
Extra and intra oral objective examination.
Specialist semiotic techniques
- complementary tests: culture swab, cytological examination by scraping; diascopy; fluorescence; chemoluminescence; vital staining; biopsy;
- instrumental and specialist tests: diagnostic imaging tests; blood tests; sialometry; halitometry
- radiographic examination.
Primary and secondary elementary lesions
