History of criminalistics, review of forensic biology and forensic genetic laboratory methodologies, study and interpretation of single and mixed DNA profiles, evaluation of stochastic effects, use of biostatistical software for personal identification and parental relationships, BPA - Bloodstain Pattern Analysis, the role of the technical consultant in judicial field, the technical report/forensic genetic expertise, case report study

Learning Outcomes
The training objectives are to provide students with the technical-interpretative tools to analyze genetic profiles in the judicial field, also evaluating them from a biostatistical point of view in order to identify and discriminate subjects within a population or to draw up simple parental relationships and complex. Illustrate the role of the biologist technical consultant in the judicial and private sectors.

History of criminalistics, notes on dactyloscopy, analysis of human genetic polymorphisms, genetic typing, interpretation of single and mixed genetic profiles, comparisons with reference samples, biostatistical evaluations using validated software for forensic use for the calculation of RMP, RMNE and LR. analysis of paternity and kinship, construction of simple and complex pedigrees, biostatistical evaluations using software validated for forensic use (Familias), BPA - Bloodstain Pattern analysis technique for the reconstruction of the crime scene, the role of the technical consultant (regulations), bureaucratic steps for the legal profession, study and analysis of real cases.
Expected Learning Outcomes
Ability to read and interpret simple and complex genetic profiles, perform biostatistical evaluations, carry out paternity assessments and exclusion, analyze and reconstruct crime scenes, present technical results in a courtroom, understand the role of the forensic geneticist in the judicial field.
