ETHNO-ANTROPOLOGICAL CULTURAL HERITAGE

Objectives - knowledge and comprehension: achievement of the basic skills related to the development of demo-ethno-anthropological cultural assets; understanding of the social, cultural, and economic context that fostered the identification, the protection and the enhancement of tangible and intangible ethno-anthropological cultural assets.
Objectives - ability to apply knowledge and comprehension: to be proficient in identifying and recording cultural ethno-anthropological assets; to understand and to contextualize forms and practices of ethno-anthropological cultural assets inventories; to acquire the ability to critically read texts and documents.
Objectives - Opinions and judgements expression: to acquire the ability to make personal pronouncements about the concepts learned; to analyze experiences of capitalization starting from the theoretical, methodological and technical framework learned.
Objectives - Communication skills: proficient communication of the issues, orally or by means of written papers, using an appropriate terminology.
Objectives - Ability to study: pertinence in discussing the issues by approaching the ethnological literature and the fieldwork.
The course is aimed at teaching students the main theoretical and methodological anthropological concepts and, for the most advanced students, the critical use of acquired theoretical and methodological knowledge. The assessment of the above mentioned goals will be verified during the examination.

General culture knowledge deriving from high school.

The exam is aimed at verifying the achievement of the learning objectives through an oral test. Students will be asked to make an oral presentation on four themes of the program determined by the teacher. Answers will also enable the assessment of communication skills. The oral test will last approximately 20 minutes
The final mark of the exam is expressed in thirtieths. The exam will be considered successful with a minimum score of 18 points/30.
The mark is assessed according to the following criteria:
- from 18 to 21/30: acceptable knowledge and comprehension of the basic concepts contained in the defined bibliographic sources; sufficient critical reasoning skills and ability to make mental association; fair ability to organize and clearly and effectively present the acquired knowledge; proficient communication of the issues by using an appropriate terminology; fair ability to acquire new skills.
- from 22 to 25/30: the same items with a satisfactory performance;
- from 26 to 28/30: the same items with a good performance;
- from 29 to 30/30 (with possible honors): the same items with an excellent performance.

This module will address theoretical, methodological and technical issues related to ethno-anthropological heritage with specific reference to the topics of recognition, recovery and communication. Particular emphasis will be given to the preservation and to the enhancement of the tangible and intangible ethno-anthropological cultural heritage which characterizes postmodern society. Italy, Europe and the Alpine Arch will be the territories of analysis. Issues: Culture and Cultural heritage; the development of demo-ethno-anthropological assets; the revival of folk traditions; how to document tangible and intangible assets; the festive heritage; local ethnographic museums; the cataloguing of ethno-anthropological assets; the geo-portal of gastronomic culture; the "Granaries of Memory" project; Cultural heritage and territories; food as culture.

Knowledge and comprehension: basic knowledge about the development of demo-ethno-anthropologic cultural assets; ability to understand and contextualize the social, cultural and economic set that fostered the identification, protection and enhancement of tangible and intangible ethno-anthropological cultural assets. Ability to apply knowledge and comprehension. Ability to recognize and record cultural ethno-anthropological assets; ability to understand and to contextualize forms and practices of ethno-anthropological cultural assets cataloguing; ability to critically read texts and documents. Expression of opinions and judgements. Ability to make personal pronouncements about the concepts learned; ability to analyze experiences of capitalization starting from the theoretical, methodological and technical framework learned. Communication skills: ability to communicate the issues by using an appropriate terminology. Ability to study. Ability to discuss the issues by approaching the ethnological literature and the fieldwork.
To attain an advanced level, students are asked to demonstrate their achievement of:
- an organic vision of the topics addressed in class, and the attitude to synthetize and to analyze them;
- the ability to elaborate a personal, critical vision of the topics with excellent language proficiency;
- the ability to autonomously explore particular topics.
These results are consistent with the requirements of the Annual Form (SUA) of the 3-year course (A4.b.2.)..
