Knowledge of the general principles of private law, sources and fundamental rules; understanding and acquisition of legal language; learning the use of the Civil Code and understanding of some Constitutional rules; ability orientation in the regulatory system and coordinated reading of legal provisions; - understanding fundamental legal issues of private law, also to comprehend the problems of everyday life.

The examination will consist of an oral test to verify the acquisition of the method of study of legal subjects and the learning of the basic structures of private law addressed in the program. Course attendees may take a written test at the end of class, which result may be accepted as a final grade or rejected, with the possibility of requesting a supplementary oral examination to improve the outcome.

- Introduction to private law. Sources of law and interpretation of the law;
- Subjects of law: natural persons and legal persons;
- Subjective legal situations;
- Legal goods. Property, rights in rem, possession;
- Family law, separation and divorce;
- Succession after death;
- Obligations (obligatory relationship, object, types, fulfillment, non-fulfillment, different modes of extinguishment obligations);
- The contract (concept, elements, invalidity, rescission, termination, some types of contracts);
- Consumer contracts and law;
- Civil liability and cases of strict liability;
- Copyright.

Knowledge of the fundamental concepts of private law. Ability to read, analyze and understand codified rules and constitutional principles of civil law.
