The course consists of 50 hours of face-to-face lessons to be held during the second term of the academic year. Attendance is not mandatory but highly recommended to sit the exam successfully.

Acquisition of skills in English, with the aim to understand and interact at B2 level.

B1 level in English.

Guided activities of reading and listening tasks, practice of the use of the language, short written production and senttence transformation. For each unit, the teacher will provide explanation for the structures of the laguage, also with the use of presentations and extra materials for further study and practice on part of the students. All the extra materials and presentations will be uploaded in the DIR course.

Two mock tests will be offered to students, at mid-term and at the end of the lcourse.
It is of fundamental importance that students commit to self-study and practice beyond lessons in order to reach an overall B2 level in the various skills.

Computer-based test: reading, listening comprehension and use of the language, with multiple choice or T/F questions; fill in the blanks, reformulation. Development of language skills and linguistic knowledge required by the European Framework for B2 level.

Students will be required to comprehend a written text and the details of its content; they will have to prove their knowledge of the syntactical and lexical structure and reformulation skills. Students will also have to prove to understand a dialogue, a speech, a radio programme, an interview or an announcement at B2 level (listening comprehension).
