For non-attending students only: F. Bidaud, "Exercices de français pour italophones," Turin, Utet, 2016, ISBN: 9788860084675 (or 2021 edition, ISBN-10 : 8860086523).

The objectives are those recommended at B1 Level in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), adapted to the requirements of the university course.
For students enrolled in the Humanities course (3 CFUs): in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), level A2 adapted to the requirements of the university course.

None for course C. Group C is dedicated to absolute beginners.
Placement in the groups will be made by means of a compulsory test to be taken via the DIR platform and checked during the first lessons of the course, according to the level of language proficiency.

The DIR service will provide detailed programs, instructions for the obligatory work, examples of written tests, and exercise sheets.

- CdS students in Modern Foreign Languages (beginners) and CdS students in Philosophy and Communication: two separate written tests and one oral test.
Separate written and oral. First written test (3 hours): grammar test (/30). It is necessary to pass the grammar test with a minimum grade of 18/30 to enter the second written 4 hours test (held on another day): spelling test / 10; comprehension/written expression / 20). A minimum grade in the second written test is required: 5/10 in the spelling test; 13/20 in the written comprehension/expression test. The total grade in the written test is the average between the first and second examination papers. It is necessary to achieve at least 18/30 to appear for the oral test, which consists of the presentation of the compulsory work monitored during the academic year. The additional marks awarded at the end of the oral test can be a maximum of 3. The students will have the opportunit to take an oral test, with the presentation of the compulsory work as part of the course's last lectures, before the summer exams session begins. In this case, the research must be delivered to the teacher by May 2025.
Students will be given the opportunity to take advantage of an early roll-call of the oral test, subject to the presentation of the compulsory work as part of the last lessons of the course, before the start of the summer session. In order to take part in this appeal, you will need to hand in your research to the teacher by May 2025 (please remember to follow the instructions given on the DIR carefully and to respect the deadlines). Those who do not hand in their research on time will not be able to take part in the early roll call. Additional points awarded at the end of the oral examination may be a maximum of 3. One point is awarded for fluency of expression, one point for grammatical correctness, one point for phonological correctness, taking into account the objectives set (CEFR level B1).

The ability to apply grammar rules is tested in both the written test of grammar and the oral examination.The ability to comprehend and produce texts is tested in the second written test of text comprehension and written production. The ability to express personal judgments is tested in both the second written test of written production and the oral test. Study skills are tested in both written and oral tests, in which the student must reinvest all the skills developed during the course.

- CdS students in Humanities ( proficiency, 3 cfu): separate written and oral: written test ( grammar test, comprehension-expression, grade out of 30). It is necessary to obtain an average of at least 18/30 on the written test to submit to the oral test, which consists of the presentation of the compulsory work supervised during the academic year. The additional points awarded at the end of the oral test can be a maximum of 3

Grammar course level B1; phonology: introduction to IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet), phonetic transcription from French into Italian and from Italian into French; preparation for dictation exercises; development of written and oral expression and comprehension skills.
Acquisition of idiomatic expressions.
Mandatory individual work will be monitored by the teacher throughout the course in order to submit to the oral examination, described in detail on the course DIR.
Ten hours of the course, conducted by Dr. Maurizio Busca, will be devoted to an in-depth study of grammar in a contrastive perspective (Italian/French), halfway and/or at the end of the course.

For students enrolled in the study course in Modern Foreign Languages and in Philosophy and Communication (6 CFU, 106 lesson hours): to reach level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) in the various skills and to become familiar with phonetic transcription (from French to FIA and vice versa).
For students enrolled in the Humanities course of study (3 CFU, 72 course hours): in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), reach level A2 adapted to the requirements of the university course.
