Attaining B1+/B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

CEFR b1 level

The course consists of face-to-face classes and self-study. Attending at least 80% of classes is highly recommended although it is not compulsory.

Attending the course with necessary course material is an absolute must. Regular consultation of the course page on the DIR platform is recommended.

The assessment is computer-based and consists of three parts: listening, reading and use of English (grammar and vocabulary) based on the course materials.

1) Knowledge and understanding. The course aims to develop linguistic competencies in various areas, including lexis and morpho-syntax. It is expected that after the course students will be able to handle B1+/B2-level texts and audio material with relative ease.
2) Learning skills. Students will be guided through the exploration of learning strategies in order to successfully apply the ones corresponding to their needs and abilities.
3) Communicative skills. It is expected that upon course completion students will be able to handle oral and written expression on the B1+/B2 level
