Course Contents
This course describes advanced aspects of cement manufacture, cement phase composition, cement hydration, properties of cement with admixtures, special cements, and various cement durability issues.

Fundamentals of general chemistry and materials science

Assessment Methods
Written test based on multiple choice and open questions and a brief supplementary description, on production and environmental issues, impact reduction strategies, new materials and their properties and application criteria for cementitious materials.
The open answers will be evaluated in the ability to briefly describe the topic of the question and correlate it with chemical, technological and application aspects of cementitious materials.
