The course will present the main theories and methods of social research and will be divided into 3 parts. The first is dedicated to the paradigms of social research and to the ontological, epistemological and methodological issues connected with it. The second part is devoted to quantitative methods. The third to qualitative methods.

The course aims to provide students with knowledge and skills in the construction and management of research design, of the main tools for empirical detection and data organization.

The course is organized in standard teaching and group work. Attendance is not mandatory but is strongly recommended

The final test, written and lasting 60 minutes, will be aimed at verifying the ability of the student to orient themselves between the various theoretical and practical aspects of the discipline and will contain 3 "open questions" and 5 "closed multiple choice questions"
