Course Contents
The first-year internship includes classroom seminars with the participation of social workers, allowing students to engage with the professional work of social workers in relation to the theoretical teaching approaches of the first-year curriculum.
Reference Texts
Code of Ethics for Social Workers, regulations relating to social and health services. Teaching materials for the course "Principles and Foundations of Social Work."
Learning Outcomes
Approach of students with social services, social health and Third Sector agencies to start the knowledge of the Welfare context. First approach to the professional role of the Social Worker in perspective of the aid intervention. Knowledge of the organizational and institutional context of public services and the Third Sector in perspective of networking and community work. Role, duties and functions of social workers. Promotion of the student's relational skills through work/comparison groups.

Teaching Methods
Structured training seminars led by social workers and psychosocial-educational professionals from the public and private social sectors working in various community service settings. Intervention by "differently expert" collaborators within the Degree Program. Insight into community work through observation of user group activities (self-help groups).
Assessment Methods
Written reports, ongoing assessment of student skills through discussions with seminar speakers and among students in group activities. Final assessment through an oral exam.

1. Introductory report and organizational presentation of the internship. 2. Territorial social services 3. Social and health services 4. Ministry of Justice 5. Third sector 6. Community and networking work Comparison and evaluation of the experience through the presentation of student group work.
Expected Learning Outcomes
1. Knowledge of the organizational and institutional context of the services. 2. Deepening of the roles, tasks and functions of professionals in the psycho-social-educational and health area in the integrated and territorial perspective of aid interventions. In-depth analysis of the role and mandate of the social worker in compliance with the Code of Conduct. 3. Acquisition of relational skills aimed at the participation and comparison of the future social worker with other professionals in work groups (multiprofessional teams).
