The course will focus on specific topics of the global age: political and cultural identities; economic and social transformations; war and peace; crisis of globilzation. These topics will be discussed through the presentation of a series of books published in the last years.

Attending students will focus on the lecture notes; moreover, they will choose of the following books: 1) Colin Crouch, Identità perdute. The specific knowledge of the globalization and the main dynamics of the conteporary age.

General knowledge of the history of political, economic and social thought and political science.

Lessons and seminars.

The final exam will be oral.
The teacher will discuss with the students about a possible written test (intermediate or final).

Final exam will be oral.
Evaluation criteria:
- 18-22: basic understanding of the texts;
- 23-26: good understanding of the texts and oral exposure;
- 27-30: excellent understanding of the texts, oral exposure and critical review of content.
