The lectures will cover the main dermatological diseases of infectious, inflammatory, immunological and neoplastic etiology; the main pathologies to possible sexual transmission will also be treated.
In detail, the topics covered will be the following:
anatomy and histology of the skin;
primary and secondary elemental lesions of the skin;
dermatological semeiotics;
infectious dermatitis from parasites, bacterial, virus and fungal;
inflammatory dermatitis: acne; allergic and irritative contact dermatitis; atopic dermatitis; seborrheic dermatitis; psoriasis; lichen; drug reactions; orticaria
autoimmune bullous dermatoses; collagenopaties (lupus, scleroderma, dermatomyositis);
benign melanocytic lesions of the skin and melanoma;
benign and malignant epithelial tumors; precancerous;
basis of dermatolocic therapy; basic knowledge on the most common techniques of radicalization of epithelial and melanocytic tumors; basic notions of protocols and follow-up of malignancies.

The lectures will be integrated with practical demonstrations addressed to diagnostics (dermoscopy, direct microscopic examination, cultural examinations, skin biopsy), differential diagnostics and topical treatment, systemic and surgical of the main diseases skin, including sexually transmitted diseases.

Acquisition of basic skills for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of the main skin and sexually transmitted diseases.

To have basic notions of anatomy and histology of normal human skin. Have basic notions on the morphological characteristics of bacteria, viruses and fungi and on the main modes of transmission.

The lectures will be held with the help of iconographic material, to allow the student to acquire the necessary tools for clinical identification and differential diagnosis of the main dermatological diseases. The knowledge acquired during the lectures will be supplemented by practical notions during the pratical training.

Students can take optional periods of attendance at the SCDU of Dermatology with the assignment of credits.
