Course Contents
INTRODUCTION: Family Centered Care Model; Maternal - Infantile Network (organizational aspects)
NEWBORN CARE: care procedure on the neonatal island; neonatoal prophylaxis; umbilical stump care. Neonatal jaundice, phototherapy.
PREVENTION: newborn screening, heel puncture
PAIN: pain in the newborn, pain scales in the newborn, containment techniques (neonatal care); Pain relief techniques, pain scales in pediatrics.
PEDIATRIC FIRST AID: pediatric triage; head trauma; intoxication and poisoning; burns; CNS abnormalities (febrile seizures);

Assistance to the girl and boy affected by the main pathologies of pediatric interest: respiratory pathologies (laryngitis, bronchiollitis), gastrointestinal pathologies (acute gastroenteritis)
PHARMACOLOGICAL THERAPY IN PEDIATRIC AGE: routes of administration, dosage calculatin.

Learning Outcomes
Allow the student component to learn the care peculiarities characterizing the nursing activity aimed at the subject in developmental age; - Promote the connection and use of what has been learned in other disciplines to adopt and adapt care planning for the girl, boy and family.
