Learning Outcomes
The general aim of the course is to provide students with the tools to understand and master the legal features regarding the National Healthcare System and the Social Services.

In this perspective, the course aims to provide: knowledge of the fundamental features of the Italian public system, with particular regard to the sources of law, to the structure and functions of the Health and Social Services; ability to deal with the main issues of the contemporary health and social law, starting from a correct identification of the current legislation; Development of the ability to apply the acquired knowledge in the professional context.

“Gender integration”: during the lectures, the influence of the principles of constitutional law to the protection of the gender dimension in our legal system will be explored.
Assessment Methods
The assessment method adopted is a written examination based on multiple-choice questions
Detailed Syllabus
The Course will be developed in three sections. The first section will be devoted to the analysis of the fundamental concepts of law (the concept of law; acts, legal provisions and norms; sources of law; interpretive activity and criteria for resolving antinomies in legal systems). The second will be dedicated to constitutional principles on the protection of rights and separation of powers (in this part, the constitutional protection of health will be investigated alongside the main legal features concerning the Government, the Parliament, the Public administration, the Territorial bodies and the Judicial power). The third part will focus on the organization of the National Health System and Social Services.
