Learning Outcomes
Building a mental model that allows to acquire the main knowledge of Microbiology, Immunology and pathology
Prerequisites
For the understanding of the integrated course,
students must be possess a minimum set of basic
principles of cellular biology, chemistry, genetic,
immunology and microbiology (minimal knowledge).
They must also possess an English knowledge at
level B1. Specific prerequisites are not foreseen
Teaching Methods

The teaching methods used by the course are
represented by:
- Presentations in MS-Power Point format,
Audio/viedo
- Use of the fast and fun "Kahoot" learning platform
useful for ongoing assessment of learning
The integrated course is organized in theoretical
lectures, conducted in the classroom using powerpoint
slides and Kahoot platform, on all topics of the
course. These lessons include a continuous direct
examination of the level of understanding of the
various topics dealt with through dialogue, questions
and kahoot in order to stimulate motivation,
curiosity, critical spirit, autonomy and involvement in
the learning processes of students.

The teacher of the Integrated Course, at the end of
the lessons or after contacting email, is available to
discuss any doubts concerning the topics of the
course.

At the end of the course the exam will be simulated

Students with disabilities, DSA, BES, once they have contacted the University Staff,
they can contact the teacher in charge of the course in relation to the declination of the
examination methods, regarding the teaching aspects.
Assessment Methods
The final evaluation test consists of a written exam,
in an integrated way with the other disciplines and
the other teachers of the course in the preestablished
dates of the exams, consisting of
multiple choice questions (one correct answer
option). The exam is passed with 50% of the correct
answers for each module.
The final mark must not be less than 18; the
maximum achievable score is 30 and Lode.
The questions relate to all the topics developed
during the classroom lessons.
The objective of the exam consists in verifying the
level of achievement of the previously indicated
training objectives.
A moment will be devoted to the correction of the
written tasks during which each student will be able
to recognize the mistakes and identify the correct
answers

Expected Learning Outcomes
LEARNING, KNOWLEDGE UNDERSTANDING: At the end of the integrated
course, the student should demonstrate that he has
learned the basic notions of the etiopathology of
diseases
ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND
UNDERSTANDING: The student must have
acquired skills applicable in practice
TRANSVERSAL SKILLS: The student must also be
able to have AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT and
ABILITY to COMMUNICATE the acquired
knowledge
