The child as a subject of the re-education process:
the child his development-organization of adaptive functions
Motor re-education and its tools:
observation, evaluation and treatment in developmental age.
The role of the physiotherapist and his skills.
The session in developmental age. The re-educational setting.
The premature baby:
presentation, problems: the role of the physiotherapist in neonatal intensive care (NICU).
The newborn:
rehabilitation and treatment tools for the main pathologies: torticollis, congenital clubfoot, obstetric lesion of the brachial plexus.
Infantile cerebral palsy:
identification of the objectives and tools of the rehabilitation process in the main frameworks. Treatment proposals.
Myelomeningocele:
identification of the objectives and tools of the rehabilitation process in certain lesion levels. Treatment proposals.
Neuromuscular diseases:
identification of the objectives and tools of the therapeutic path. Treatment proposals.
Counselling:
notes on the importance of this tool for working with the child and his family.

Learning Outcomes
The module aims to accompany the student:
- to understand the particular specificity of the physiotherapist's intervention in developmental age and its meaning;
- to acquire the main tools for observation, evaluation and setting up a treatment plan in the main pathologies of pediatric interest;
- to understand the fundamental importance of team work and physiotherapy counselling.

The motor development of the normal child. Clinic of pathologies of pediatric interest

They will be proposed during the lessons
• treatment simulations with the help of dolls
• work on video material, individually and in small groups
• Possibility to view some aids used in developmental age for sitting, standing and walking positions
Assessment Methods
the verification test includes multiple choice questions within the integrated pediatric module test
