Learning Outcomes
Learing the basic concepts of pathophysiology, clinical features and diagnosis of primary and secondary headaches. The latter with a focus on craniofacial conditions. In general, the student should be able to provide a general framework of the main neurological conditions.

Basic concepts of anatomy and physiology of the nevous sysstem

Assessment Methods
Written exam mainly including open questions and occasioonally multiple choice questions. Focus on cranial nerves and headache.
Detailed Syllabus
Anatomy and pathophysiology of cranial nerves.
General description of the last classification of headache.
The basics of migraine pathophysiology. Diagnostic criteria and basic therapeutic recommendations of: migraine, tension type headache, cluster headache. Diagnostic criteria of secondary headache, with focus on odontostomatological conditions.
General notions on: cerebrovascular diseases, dementia, movement disorders.
Expected Learning Outcomes
Good knowledge on cranial nerves anatomy. Understanding of the main functions of such nerves. Detailed knowledge on epidemiology and clinical features of headache. General concepts on diagnosis and therapy.
