With regard to authentic texts of different typologies and content, students are able to observe and identify different grammatical rules and then to use them in their oral and written production. They get relevant notions about German culture and traditions too, in order to compare them with their own culture.

Before the starting of the lessons, students do a short test in order to be divided into two different groups according to their basic knowledge. During the first year students are divided into two groups: (i) students with no previous knowledge of German language and (ii) students with basic knowledge of the language. No prerequisite is necessary.
Teaching Methods
Frontal lessons. Explanation of different topics and concrete application through exercises. Reading and comprehension of authentic texts.

Students should read, comment and summarize short texts of different typologies and should answer to questions about the text and about their personal experience. In the given grammar exercises students should show to know the grammar rules and in the text productions they should demonstrate to be able to use them.
