FRENCH LANGUAGE EXERCISES II

For non-attending students: continuation of the textbook used in the French Language Exercises I course: Françoise Bidaud, "La nouvelle grammaire du français pour italophones," Turin, Utet, 2008.

The objectives are those recommended at B2 Level in the Common European Framework.

Successful passing of the exam “Lingua francese 1”; B1 level from the Framework (Lingue straniere Moderne). B1 level from the Framework (Lingue Culture Turismo). A2 level from the Framework (Filologia moderna, antica e comparata)

Seminars with audio-visual aids.

The DIR service will provide detailed programs, instructions for the obligatory work, examples of written tests, and exercise sheets.

Separate written and oral exams. The written exam consists of two compulsory tests. First written test: grammar test (/30). You must pass the grammar test with a minimum score of 18/30 to proceed to the second written test (dictation / 10; comprehension-production / 20). The following minimum scores are required in the second written test: 5/10 to pass the dictation test; 13/20 to pass the written comprehension-production test. The overall score for the written test is the average of the two written tests, and a minimum score of 18/30 is required to proceed to the oral test. Test structure and assessment methods: In order to take the oral test, students must submit the compulsory assignment before the oral test (to be agreed in advance). The oral test consists of presenting and defending a point of view, based on a topic assigned by the teachers. Students will be given the opportunity to take an early oral exam, subject to the submission of the compulsory assignment, during the last lessons of the course, before the start of the summer exam session. In this case, the complete dossier (see the precise instructions uploaded to the course DIR) must be submitted to the teacher by May 2026. Those who do not submit their research on time will not be allowed to take the early exam under any circumstances. A maximum of 3 additional points can be awarded at the end of the oral exam. One point is awarded for the appropriateness of the speech and fluency of presentation, one point for morphological and syntactic correctness, and one point for phonological correctness, taking into account the set objectives (CEFR level B2).

Achievement of level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages in various skills, adapted to university requirements.
