Prerequisites
it is necessary to have passed the pathological anatomy exam and have acquired basic knowledge of histology, anatomy, biochemistry, physiology and radiology

The course is associated to a clinical ward internship.
Assessment Methods
Learning is assessed through an oral exam. Each candidate will be asked several questions regarding the topics covered in the course syllabus, with a primary focus on the topics covered in the lectures. The corresponding grade (minimum 18/30 maximum 30/30 with honors) will be assigned by evaluating the level of knowledge of the subject, mastery of technical vocabulary, and communication and presentation skills.

Expected Learning Outcomes
The expected learning outcomes are consistent with the general provisions found within the European Qualifications Framework (Dublin descriptors) as follows: Assess the physiological principles governing the function of main body systems and alterations induced by functional abnormalities and structural. Describe the main signs and symptoms associated with specific clinical disorders and provide an adequate explanation of the underlying reasons. Know the diseases of surgical interest affecting the different systems. Know the necessary clinical and surgical methodology to deal with the main pathologies of surgical interest.
