Principles of interventional radiology; clinical applications of interventional radiology and neuroradiology; radiology anatomy lessons applied to interventional radiology; pathologies treated: cerebral ischemia; cerebral hemorrhage; endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms; acute aortic pathology; endovascular treatment of acute pathology of the thoracic and abdominal aorta; peripheral vascular pathology, interventional radiology of the biliary and urinary system
Expected Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student will have acquired knowledge regarding the principles, technologies, key procedures, and materials used in interventional radiology. They will be able to prepare and manage the angiography suite, assist in patient preparation, implement technical-operational protocols, and optimize image acquisition based on the specific procedure. Furthermore, they will be capable of applying principles of radiation protection, safety, sterility, and risk management; evaluating technical image quality; identifying key issues; and collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team. They will develop the ability to independently analyze technical and professional challenges and keep up to date with evolving interventional technologies and procedures.
