Course Contents
The program covers the teaching of the diagnostic projections for the muscoloskeletal system: skull , vertebral column, shoulder girdle, chest, ribs, upper and lower limbs, pelvis, radiological study of the breast and abdomen.

Learning Outcomes
To provide students with the theoretical and practical skills necessary to safely perform traditional diagnostic technical procedures, while applying the principles of dose optimization and radiation protection for both patients and operators, and evaluating the technical quality of the radiograph
Prerequisites
The student must possess essential knowledge of anatomy, medical physics and ionizing radiation, and general radiation protection
Teaching Methods
Frontal lessons with the help of: video projector and computer or internet connection provided to the classroom, presentation of MS PowerPoint interactive CD-ROM and educational internet sites
Additional Information

The student will be able to practice muscoloskeletal diagnostic projections tecniques through laboratory sessions, simulations, and in the diagnostic radiology department
Assessment Methods
Students will have to take the oral test by demonstrating that they have assimilated the basic notions for the correct execution of diagnostic projections of the muscoloskeletal system and to be able to adequately manage the procedural problems that may arise during exams with uncooperative or polytraumatized patients
Detailed Syllabus
Section plans notes on geometric factors in image formation, definition of projections and positions in radiology, projections for the study of neurocranium and splacnocranium
Projections for the study of the chest, hemitorax, shoulder, sternum, cervical spine, thoracic spine, lumbar spine , pelvis, hip, femur, knee, tibia and fibula , ankle, foot, humerus , elbow, forearm, wrist, hand, plain abdomen, mammography
Expected Learning Outcomes
The student will need to know all the traditional radiology projections, provide clear instructions to the patient , and critically evaluate the technical quality of the examination
