- Knowledge of current legislation and of the historical evolution related to Occupational Medicine and the main laws to protect the safety and health of workers
- Knowledge of importance of risk assessment and main occupational risk factors, including those in the health field
- Knowledge of risk assessment methods from manual handling of loads and manual handling of patients
- Knowledge of the main occupational diseases, with particular reference to diseases that may require professional rehabilitation intervention of the phisiotherapist
- Knowledge of importance of promoting and preserving the physical and mental well-being of workers through integrated prevention activities by the various professionals

- Basic scholastic knowledge of science subjects (Biology; Science; Mathematics and Physics), Civic Education and Jurisprudence
- Achivement of adequate training in the teaching Disciplines of the first two years of the degree course in Physioterapy

- Exercises on simulations of clinical cases and on the evaluation of the risk from manual handling of loads: NIOSH model, MAPO model
