Course Contents

The course aims to define the profile of the occupational therapist, their competencies, and their role within the multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. Furthermore, it addresses areas of physiotherapy practice relevant to occupational therapy—such as the definition of orthoses, prostheses, and assistive devices—that enhance participation and quality of life.

Learning Outcomes

The objectives are to foster clinical reasoning regarding the selection and assessment of prostheses, orthoses, and assistive devices for patients with psychomotor disabilities, with particular reference to specific areas of daily living and social interaction.

Prerequisites
Fundamentals of central nervous system pathophysiology and concepts of orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation.
Teaching Methods
Lectures, flipped classroom, and small-group analysis of clinical cases.
