The course provides an integrated overview of neurological rehabilitation and related issues, with particular attention to the assessment and physiotherapeutic management of individuals with neurological disabilities, the use of telemedicine, and speech and language aspects relevant to the rehabilitation pathway.

At the end of the course, students will have acquired the fundamental knowledge required for the assessment and rehabilitation of individuals with neurological disabilities, as well as of the main tools and integrated approaches used in rehabilitation management.

Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, kinesiology, and general pathology of the musculoskeletal system.

Teaching activities include lectures and MS PowerPoint presentations, according to the methods specified in the individual course syllabi.

Assessment is carried out according to the methods specified for each individual course.

The course programme is divided into the following courses:
1. Neurological Rehabilitation
Principles of assessment and rehabilitation in the main neurological conditions. Please refer to the specific course syllabus.
2. Telemedicine
Principles and applications of telemedicine in healthcare and rehabilitation pathways. Please refer to the specific course syllabus.
3. Speech and Language Sciences
Main speech and language aspects relevant to the rehabilitation pathway, with particular reference to individuals with neurological disorders. Please refer to the specific course syllabus.

Students will be able to recognize the main functional problems associated with neurological disorders, understand their rehabilitation implications, and identify the main assessment and treatment needs within the scope of physiotherapy practice, also adopting a multidisciplinary approach.
