Learning Outcomes
The module aims to allow the learning of the principles that determine the physiotherapy evaluation of the joint balance, the muscle strength of the single or group of muscles and the main innervations.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of anatomy. Knowledge of joint kinesiology.
Teaching Methods
MS PowerPoint presentations, – Simulation room exercises
Additional Information
During their practical training in the gyms of various rehabilitation services, students will be required to perform joint and muscle tests on patients under the supervision of clinical tutors.
Assessment Methods
The exam will consist of a written test. Multiple choice quiz.
Detailed Syllabus
Objective examination of the patient: observation and evaluation. Joint balance and muscle test of all districts. Posture of the patient, fixation, resistance. Mono and bi-articular muscles. Examination and evaluation of muscle activity in some functional gestures. Gripping techniques. Basics of evaluation of the main sensitivities. Innervation of individual muscles
Expected Learning Outcomes
Knowing how to use the principles underlying physiotherapy evaluation in all its aspects
