Course Contents
The course consists of several modules (Physiology, Anatomy and Histology ) aimed at providing fundamental knowledge regarding the structural and macroscopic aspects of human tissues, organs, and systems, as well as the functioning of the human body.
Reference Texts
Please refer to the syllabus for each module
Learning Outcomes
To provide students with an in-depth, integrated understanding of the structure and function of human organs, both individually and in relation to each another
Prerequisites
The student must possess basic knowledge of Biology and Chemistry
Teaching Methods
Mandatory in-person classes delivered by the teacher of each module, accompanied by the sharing of the slides used by the teacher
Additional Information
Students with disabilities, Specific Learning Disorders (DSA), or Special Educational Needs (BES) may request specific services and tools by contacting the Student Career Development and Coordination and Student Services Staff and by consulting the dedicated page on the University website: https://uniupo.it/it/servizi/servizi-studenti-disabili-e-dsa. Once they have established contact with the University staff, these students may also contact the course teachers to discuss the specific arrangements for exams and other teaching-related matters
Assessment Methods
A multiple-choice quiz covering the Physiology, Anatomy, and Histology modules, held on a single day. The test is uploaded to the Esami DIR platform and taken in the classroom. Each question offers five possible answers, only one of which is correct.
A passing grade must be achieved in all modules to pass the exam
Detailed Syllabus
Refer to the detailed syllabus of each module
Expected Learning Outcomes
Students must be able to describe the structure and functions of the cells, tissues, and organs that make up the human body
