Learning Outcomes
The course aims to provide students with the methodological and clinical foundations required to understand the development of innovative anticancer treatments, from preclinical and translational research to clinical implementation.
Particular emphasis will be placed on the design and interpretation of modern oncology clinical trials, biomarker-driven drug development, precision oncology, and the integration of molecular and clinical information in therapeutic decision-making.
At the end of the course, students should be able to critically evaluate the design, results and clinical relevance of oncology trials and understand how translational research contributes to the development of new therapeutic strategies.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of molecular and cellular biology, cancer biology, genetics and biostatistics is recommended. No previous clinical experience in oncology is required.
