The human animal. Introduction to philosophical anthropology.

Attendance is not required but is strongly recommended. The program is the same for both students who attend and those who do not.

Lectures. Reading of philosophical texts. Discussion of the main methodologies for the acquisition and transmission of philosophical knowledge (also from a teaching perspective)

Oral Examination. The exam will be successful if the sum of 18/30 is reached or passed.
The final exam includes an oral examination aimed at ascertaining the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and the ability to analyze and evaluate data in the different domains of contemporary philosophical anthropology.
Honors will be awarded on the basis of the following criteria: (i) accuracy, thoroughness, and ability to elaborate the answer; (ii) accuracy in the use of specific philosophical terminology

The first part of the course will be devoted to a reconstruction of the fundamental problems and concepts of philosophical anthropology. In the second part of the course, we will read and discuss the first section of Martin Heidegger’s *Being and Time*

Knowledge and understanding:
- know the problems and principles of twentieth-century philosophical anthrology;
- know classical texts, identifying their fundamental thematic nodes in their peculiar declinations.
Ability to apply knowledge and understanding:
- ability to deal with philosophical texts and connect them to the theoretical-conceptual path of the discipline;
- ability to expound and discuss the Authors' position, appropriately using the fundamental concepts of the discipline.
Autonomy of judgments and communication skills:
- Ability to deal appropriately with the subject matter, articulating interventions, interacting in discussion, and learning the methods of transmission also from a didactic perspective.
Learning skills:
- Ability to analyze, synthesize and interpretative understanding of texts, including in relation to a didactic application of philosophical knowledge in the teaching context
