Texts from newspapers or web-sites - Texts given by the teachers

At the end of the course students are able to read, understand and produce complex texts about different topics. They are able to speak and write with grammatical property and correct terminology. With regard to authentic texts, students are able to observe and identify different grammatical rules and different stylistic features and then to use them in their oral and written production. They get relevant notions about German culture and traditions too, in order to compare them with their own culture. Students are able to develop accurate strategies in order to solve understanding and communication problems in their oral productions.

In order to attend the course students must have passed the exam Lingua tedesca esercitazioni II anno.

Frontal lessons. Interactional didactics. Explanation of different topics and concrete application through exercises. Reading and comprehension of authentic texts. Translation Italian-German.

Written and oral exams separated. Written test consisting of three main parts: grammar, translation Italian-German and text comprehension. Oral exam includes text reading and speaking, with some oral questions about student’s personal experience. The skills in understanding text is tested through the written and the oral test. Students should read, comment and summarize texts of different typologies and should answer to questions about the text and about their personal experience. The skills in using the grammar are tested through the written test and the oral one. In the given grammar exercises and in their translation students should show to know the grammar rules and the proper stylistic features and in their text productions they should demonstrate to be able to use them. The skills in expressing judges is tested through the oral test. Students should express opinions about different issues and should compare their culture with the German one. The skill to study independently is verified in both through the oral and written test.

The course aims to the acquisition of the grammatical notions according to the B2.2/C1 level. The grammar explanation is followed by exercises, in which students should apply the grammatical rules. A part of the lessons is dedicated to translation exercises (Italian - German) and to the comprehension of written and oral texts: students should express their thoughts using the correct terminologies and complex syntactic structures.
