Assessment Methods
Assessment methods include: - a TEST - an INTERVIEW. The TEST consists of completing a project (using Bizagi or Project Libre in the computer lab; the reference text is essential and sufficient to refine preparation). Once the knowledge and skills acquired by the students and demonstrated in completing the project (passing the TEST) have been assessed, the topics covered during the INTERVIEW will be explored in greater depth. The INTERVIEW will include questions on the following topics: Business management and the process approach; Business process reengineering; The process approach in management systems; BPMN notation for mapping business processes; The information system supporting the process approach; The information system for managing corporate projects; Information for personnel management and development; The functionality of information systems for personnel management; Monitoring tools for evaluating company performance. In completing the project, the student must demonstrate sufficient skills and abilities in managing the project structure and transposing it into Bizagi or ProjectLibre. Once the project has been demonstrated to be sufficient, the interview will allow for a grade ranging from more than sufficient to excellent. Specifically, the project completion and the interview will determine whether the students have: - Fragmented knowledge or substantial errors; inability to understand simple problems related to project implementation; difficulty completing simple projects (grade < 18, insufficient). - Essential knowledge; hesitation in understanding problems related to project implementation; uncertainty in completing simple projects (grade 18–20 – sufficient). - Correct but not always in-depth knowledge; adequate understanding of problems related to project implementation; ability to complete simple projects (grade 21–23 – fair). - Broad and organized knowledge; good understanding of problems related to project implementation; good ability to complete projects (grade 24–26 – good). - Complete and in-depth knowledge; Strong understanding of project-related issues; very good ability to carry out projects (grade 27–28 – very good). - Complete mastery of the content; excellent understanding of problems related to the implementation of complex projects; excellent ability to carry out original projects (grade 29–30 – excellent). - Excellent mastery of the content; complete understanding of problems related to the implementation of complex and original projects; immediate and excellent ability to carry out complex projects (grade 30 cum laude – excellent).
All the topics covered in the interview were covered in class. To ensure maximum clarity and facilitate learning for students who do not attend classes, the same topics are also covered in R. Candiotto - S. Gandini, Project and Process Management. Applications for the Management of Projects and Business Processes, Maggioli, 2024.
