Learning Outcomes
The primary goal of the course is to provide advanced tools to understand and assimilate the business dynamics of a modern organization and the technical jargon that represent and distinguish them. The course aims to give a clear and simple vision of the tools necessary for management, combined with the use of the English language to easily fit into multinational and multicultural contexts, understanding the nuances, lexical differences and vocabulary. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to understand which tools are commonly used and how mastery of the English language allows them to be used functionally in different contexts.
Prerequisites
In order to take the final exam and attend the lectures, a language proficiency level of B2 or higher — in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) — is required. Attendance is highly recommended, as it would ensure a full understanding of concepts and techniques which are difficult to master without practical application (exercises, role-playing, assignments, simulations of typical corporate scenarios, etc.). Relying solely on course materials (slides and the textbook with its exercises) without placing them in context results in an incomplete and inadequate understanding.
Teaching Methods
The classes will be in English language, in presence, and will be composed by a learning section and a section dedicated to practicing, real life scenario simulations and workshops. The involvement in practical activities and verification is a fundamental and propaedeutic part of integration into multinational structured and layered contexts with a high level of competitiveness which requires problem-solving skills and fast paced time frames compatibility.
