Written test (60 minutes) and oral presentation of a statistical survey administered by the students
Detailed Syllabus
Introduction to statistics. Types of statistical variables. Charts: interpretation and production. Position and variability indices. Problems with mean and variance, median and quartiles. Hypothesis test: mean, proportion, two means and two proportions. Bivariate analysis of qualitative and quantitative variables: chi-square test and linear regression model. ANOVA. Probability.
Expected Learning Outcomes
The student will be able to master the tools of descriptive and inferential statistics to conduct basic statistical surveys.
