The course aims to provide students with a framework of knowledge for the acquisition of tools and methods for analyzing, understanding and the conscious use of cultural heritage. It will visually present: artifacts of an artistic nature, represent the history of civilization, and in context, represent the local, regional and international areas. The reading and interpretation of the works of art will be analyzed in relation to the historical context, geographical and cultural affiliation. The students will find hidden meanings within the relationships between artists and patrons. And they will examine what resources were allocated by the company who purchased the art, and the techniques used to employ the artists. Students should be able to operate by noting similarities

The course aims at providing an in-depth knowledge of the companies in two dimensions: their structure (elements, forms and methods of organization) and their operation, focusing on the study of business functions of tourism sector's companies. The understanding and application of accounting methods complement the educational part of the unit.

The course aims to provide the analytical tools to understand the evolutionary stages and the dynamics of the development of human civilizations over the long time and to understand the historical dimension of cultural categories related to global history. The course has the following objectives: -Knowledge of major turning points in the history of human civilizations from the Neolithic to the late 19th century in a world history context. -Knowledge of the main phases of human cultural development in relation to the main social, cultural and institutional events of specific contexts, both local and global. -Acquisition of methodological tools for reading, analyzing and critiquing long-term historical phenomena. -Acquisition of the specific language of specialized literature at an advanced level, and of the history text-books in particular.

The measurement of these goals will be possible when it is checked what the student has actually learned. The objectives and contents of the course take into account the provisions of DM 616/2017 and its annexes for the purpose of recognizing the 24 cfu Pre-competitive exam for area C (anthropological disciplinary).

The course aims to provide basic geographical knowledge, methodological and content-related, in preparation for the analysis and interpretation of spatial organization, as well as the conditions. In particular, it provides the essential principles of the systemic approach and the main theoretical and practical criteria to analyse and represent the Earth surface - and the regions in which it is articulated - as a product of human activity. The course also provides the basis to understand territorial organizations, at urban, regional and national levels, as well as the key interactions between the physical, social and economic environment, allowing interpreting geographic differentiation of the relationship between man and nature as an expression of different social relations. Finally, more tourist case studies are presented to link basic geographical knowledge and the competences of the degree course.

The course introduces the bases of tourism geography and leisure. The goals are to develop these themes: - the tourist destinations (cities, regions, districts), - demand and offer (tourist behaviors, images, market), - international tourist flows (incoming and outcoming), - tourism industry (hotel, transport, tour operators) - the relationships between tourism environment, cultural heritage and landscape. The student, thanks to classroom exercises, learns: - the knowledges about the tourism regional geography and the tourism territorial organization, - the methods to analyse the potential tourist markets (offer and demand).

The course aims at introducing the student to the general framework of the tourism organization. To achieve such goals, the teaching activity will be structured around three macro-areas. Firstly, the concept of tourism organization will be analysed, highlighting how the organization theory may support the analysis of the tourism activities. Secondly, the course will focus on the analysis of the relationships between information and communication technology and organization, in order to explain how the innovation in the ICT field impacts on the organization of tourism enterprises. The final section of the course will be devoted to human resource management in the tourism sector. GIST-ICT 1. Knowledge and understanding. At the end of the course, learners will be able to: identify the characteristics of information systems supporting companies operating in the tourism sector; appreciate the benefits found in the use of ICT in the tourism sector; recognize the impact of technologies on corporate management aimed at creating value for the customer; evaluate the opportunities offered by technologies in management processes and in the performance evaluation that characterize the tourism sector; understand the potential of digital technologies. 2. The course will allow students to: express autonomous and informed judgments on the conditions of efficiency and effectiveness of company information systems; guide the management of the tourism sector towards an effective and efficient use of the corporate information assets to improve performance. The use of individual productivity tools and ERP systems to carry out typical management activities will facilitate the development of critical analysis skills regarding the best ways to achieve company objectives. 4. Learners will acquire the technical language and skills necessary to promote and disseminate the use of individual productivity tools and integrated information systems within operating realities. Learners will develop communication skills by carrying out projects and identifying solutions to business cases, captured by the daily work of management, in teams. 5. Learning ability. In a constant balance between theoretical reflection and case study analysis, the course intends to provide students with some tools for knowledge and intervention in the practices of land management, participation, awareness raising, enhancement of the landscape heritage in a sustainable tourism key.

The English course is at a B1/B2 level of the European Council's Common European Framework of Reference for the English language. As such, the course is designed to familiarize students with vocabulary, grammar and syntax with emphasis on the four primary language skills: reading, speaking, listening and writing. The course seeks to provide students with true hands-on skills that can be applied in their future career paths.

The aim of the course is to introduce the student into the main tools for statistical analysis of tourist systems and thus to develop the sensitivity and competence needed to interpret and use the results for decision-making purposes. The acquisition of discipline is divided into three levels: 1. Definition of concepts, using examples and applications; 2. mastering the technical language; 3. Developing the ability to process the data, to comment on the results and to communicate them.

The course aims, on the one hand, to provide students with the legal knowledge necessary to understand the main interpretative and applicative problems posed by the legal system, related to business activities and their economic impact. On the other hand, it aims to develop critical analysis skills in students regarding the current regulations, which are essential in carrying out any professional activity

The final goal is to achieve a good confidence on tourism law and its theoretical instruments in order to cope with economical activities related to tourism. In detail, the objectives are: - Knowledge of tourism regulations and tourism activities in current Italian and European law; - Ability to orient oneself in current legislation regarding tourism sector and to identify critical aspects in concrete cases; - Know how to report and evaluate current legislation and its impact on tourism and local development.

Analyze the methods of preparing the financial statements and their reading. The Degree course, builds on the general accounting knowledge introduced in the teaching of Business Economics (Economia Aziendale). The course also provides the basic tools for the financial analysis and the assessment of company performance through the reclassification of the financial statements and the analysis by ratios and cash flows.

The main objectives of the course are: - Achievement of level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. - Deepening of some cultural aspects. - Preparation to pass the “Diplôme de français du Tourisme - Hôtellerie - Restauration” test.

The course has the target of providing the student the basic tools for the management of tourism firms, starting from defining firms choices, given the strategic orientation in each single area of business, with special focus on operating decisions and on their effects on costs.

The course aims at providing an overview of the necessary methodologies, tools and practices to design, plan and manage initiatives and suitable projects for the development and promotion of touristic destinations, from both public and private point of view, using also examples and case studies. In particular, the attention will be focused on the issues of project management, destination management and the needed supporting knowledge. The ultimate goal is to enable students to manage the entire life cycle of a tourism development project in order to operate effectively in companies or public entities involved in the promotion and management of tourism.

The module of SPANISH LANGUAGE TRAINING aims at practising and improving passive and active linguistic skills [reading, listening, writing and speaking]. Particularly, the aim is the acquisition of basic knowledge and competences that permit students to comprehend and produce oral and written texts, and to properly use Spanish grammar according to CEFR B1 level. *** The module of SPANISH LANGUAGE AND CULTURE FOR TOURISM aims at providing basic knowledge regarding the formal characteristics of Tourism’s texts and specific vocabulary, as well as tools for the elaboration in Spanish language of original material related to this field.

- Knowledge and understanding The course aims to provide tools to master the basic concepts and practices of modern tourism marketing; - Applying knowledge and understanding The knowledge acquired during the course will allow the student to analyze the theories, concepts, practice and concrete applications. The involvelment of the student during the course and the participation in analyzing and evaluating concrete cases will allow to maintain the maximum adherence to the continuous evolution of marketing strategies and tactics, as well as of concrete situation. At the end of the course, the student will be able to understand how strategic and operational decisions related to the development of a marketing plan are formulated. - Making judgments At the end of the course, the student will be able to analyze and evaluate independently a marketing strategy applied to tourist products. - Communication skills With the knowledge acquired during lecturing activities, the student will be able to plan and formulate value propositions, integrating marketing communication programs, which are fundamental for establishing profitable relationships between the company and customers. - Learning skills The course provides tools and methodologies necessary to develop adequate learning through the analysis of marketing strategies for tourism. The teaching method will allow the student to assimilate and elaborate the concepts and the logic of the discipline.
