The course aims to allow students to understand the general principles of the main skin diseases, thus including either infectious, immune-inflammatory, or neoplastic disorders (as listed in the program). A special attention is paid to the current dermatological treatments of the mentioned diseases. The role of cutaneous microbiome in different dermatosis (i.e. atopy, psoriasis, cutaneous infections) is also discussed. Moreover, the basis of UV-light, cutaneous actinic damage and photoprotection are presented. A brief introduction to both cosmetic dermatology and regenerative medicine in dermatology will be presented.
