The course will be divided in two different parts: the INSTITUTIONAL PART will analyse the following points: 1) THE EUROPEAN INTEGRATION PROCESS (history and evolution); 2) THE INSTITUTION FRAMEWORK AND THE DECISION MAKING PROCESS; (main institutions, decision making process; sources; fundamental rights); 3) THE UNION COMPETENCES, THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EU LAW AND THE NATIONAL LEGAL SYSTEMS (direct effect and supremacy in particular); 4) THE JURISDICTION OF THE EUROPEAN COURT OF JUSTICE (main European Actions); In the special part the following arguments will be covered: 1) 4 FUNDAMENTAL FREEDOMS IN THE SINGLE MARKET (free circulation of goods, free movement of workers, freedom of establishment and investments in the context of the European space of freedom, security and justice); citizenship.
