The course has two objectives: on the one hand, the attainment of level A2 of the CEFRL and, on the other hand, the acquisition of the fundamentals of the French social system.

There are no specific entry prerequisites. However, a basic knowledge of the French language (A1 level of the CEFRL) is desirable.

At the end of the course, students should be able to understand simple sentences related to everyday life and to participate in conversations by expressing their tastes and opinions; they should be able to understand and identify messages and information contained in articles and brochures; they should be able to write simple messages as well as use professional writing (français des services sociaux)
