Learning Outcomes
- define the concepts of health and health education;
- identify the fundamental stages of planning educational interventions;
- identify the strategies and techniques to be adopted in the health education of the individual and the community;
- choose and use relevant and effective written communication techniques;
- describe uses, advantages/disadvantages of the materials that the health worker can use and produce for a health education intervention;
- plan and implement an information intervention on health issues.
Prerequisites
The student must have the essential knowledge of hygiene and preventive medicine.

Students with disabilities, DSA, BES, once they have contacted the University Staff,

examination methods, regarding the teaching aspects.
Assessment Methods
The exam consists of a written test with 10 multiple choice questions.
The test is considered passed if the student answers at least 6 questions correctly.

- bodies and operators involved in health education;
- analysis of needs and priorities in the field of health education;

- hand hygiene: levels, procedures and scientific evidence from healthcare workers
- Oral hygiene_ Scientific evidence and epidemiological data
- Aids for dental hygienists: new scientific and practical evidence
- the treatment of health facilities
- the sanitation of environments
Expected Learning Outcomes
The student should habe the knowledge regarding health education and its main uses in the healthcare sector. Student should possess the basic skills and competences for planning an health education intervention.
