Course Contents
The course will cover the following topics: - Elements of Basic Pedagogy and main contemporary theoretical approaches (Learning Theories). - Key elements and aspects of interpersonal skills. - Psychopedagogical models and methodological approaches applied to education in the health sector. - Theoretical approaches, planning and evaluation strategies in education.

Learning Outcomes
Get to know and understand the basic elements of Pedagogy and the main approaches of Learning Theories.
Get to know and apply models, methods and pedagogical techniques in the health sector.
Get to know and understand the basic elements and the aspects of relational work.
Get to know and apply conceptual and logical-operational tools to design and evaluate educational actions related to a particular context.

No background knowledge required.
Teaching Methods
The ability to apply the knowledge learned is acquired during in person lessons through active participation in discussions and use of tools, such as: slides available on the UPO DIR website (https://www.dir.uniupo.it/); texts and chapters of books suggested for specific thematic areas; case studies; small group activities (educational project in Dental Hygiene and final report); test questions to evaluate the learning process on the Wooclap platform.

Detailed Syllabus
a) The meanings of education; b) the dimensions and figures of educability'; c) relational aspects in personality formation (notes on attachment theory, J. Bowlby - the relational mind D. J. Siegel); d) Learning Theories: (Behaviorism - Cognitivism - Constructivism); Pedagogy of the person;
e) some additional neuroscientific concepts for education; f) Psychopedagogical models and methodological approaches applied to education in the field of healthcare (problem solving - case studies - narrative approach); g) Theoretical approaches, planning and evaluation strategies in education (group work).
Expected Learning Outcomes
The ability to "transfer" the knowledge acquired depending on a specific context.
