This integrated course is composed of two introductory courses that cover general issues of both organization and the labor market, with particular attention to the organization of social services. The course aims to provide, on the one hand, the fundamental concepts for the analysis of organizations and (inter)organizational networks from the perspective of social services, and, on the other, some analytical tools for understanding the labor market as a social institution and the connections between organizational choices, labor market dynamics, and new forms of poverty.

Lectures will be held using slides and supplementary materials, as well as seminar-style sessions and/or practical exercises and simulation activities. All teaching materials will be available on the course website.

For the first module (Organization of Social Work), the assessment will consist of an oral examination; for the second module of a written exam. For details on the respective assessment methods, please refer to the specific descriptions for each module.

Basic knowledge of some elements of organisational action as a social action; capacity to analyse the structures and organizational configurations of health and social care systems. Basic analytical knowledge of the labor market and its most recent dynamics from the perspective of social services (precariousness, "in-work poverty").
