The "Specialised Languages and English Translation" workshop offers students the opportunity to develop specific skills in translating specialised texts from English to Italian. Through theoretical and practical reflection tools, students will acquire a foundational knowledge of translation principles and the practical strategies required to approach specialised texts. They will be exposed to a variety of texts from fields such as medicine, sciences, and technology, enabling them to understand specific terminology and writing styles in each field. Through practical translation and revision exercises, students will apply their acquired knowledge and refine their language and translation skills. They will also be introduced to technology tools that support translation, such as translation memories and computer-assisted translation software, which will help improve the efficiency and consistency of their translations.
