Learning Outcomes

The student must acquire knowledge that allows him to apply the ICF

model in clinical practice (in evaluation as in treatment), according to a

multimodal and multidisciplinary approach.

Prerequisites
Anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology of the main pathologies in the
orthopedic and neurological fields.
Teaching Methods

Lectures through power point presentations and class exercises on theoretical clinical cases

Additional Information

Students will be provided with the didactic material used in class (power point files).

Assessment Methods

Written exam with multiple choice questions.

Detailed Syllabus

- Introduction to the biopsychosocial model in medicine with particular

reference to the ICF classification.

- Presentation of the professional profile and occupational therapist and

the main conceptual models used in occupational therapy.

Augmentative communication

- Car and driver's license

- Sport, free time

- Orthotics and prostheses

- Footwear and insoles

Expected Learning Outcomes
Students will have to acquire the theoretical elements to use the ICF classification and orient reasoning and clinical practice according to the Biopsychosocial model, in an integrated approach with the multidisciplinary team.
