The aim of the integrated course is to provide students with a knowledge of the most important institutions involved in public and private law, with a particular emphasis on the principles of public law and private law, with a particular emphasis on laws regarding contracts. Students should be equipped with the necessary tools to develop an autonomous critical method to recognize what laws and norms are applied to the business tourist world. Teaching is structured primarily in person using the DE delivery method and, at the instructor's discretion, remotely (TEL-DE) within the limits set by the University Regulations.

Principles of Private Law: no pre-requisites.

The course consists of contact hours. The contact hours will be conducted traditionally, based on an explanation of the topics that are part of the syllabus. However, class participation will be encouraged so that the topics examined can be discussed more thoroughly and from several viewpoints.
Please note that some lessons may be held online, subject to prior notification to students.
Seminars will be organized during the course to explore specific topics and to host critical student presentations on case studies relevant to the program. Students are invited to attend conferences on the subject, should they be organized by the department or the University, and their participation with brief interventions is highly encouraged, conditions permitting.

Principles of Public Law:
Written exam consisting of two open-ended questions. The exam serves a dual purpose: to assess the level of knowledge and understanding of the course content, and to evaluate independent judgment, learning skills, and the ability to synthesize the course content. The exam is considered passed if the evaluation of both open-ended questions achieves a passing grade (18/30). The final grade is the average of the scores of both answers.

Principles of Private Law:
The exam is a written test and lasts 60 minutes. The exam is structured in two sections. Section A (2/3 of the grade) consists of 20 multiple-choice questions designed to test knowledge of the course content (1 point for a correct answer; 0 points for an unanswered question; and a penalty of -0.5 points for each incorrect answer). Section B (1/3 of the grade) consists of two short, open-ended questions designed to evaluate argumentative skills and the use of specialized vocabulary (up to 5 points each, for a total of 10 points). The difficulty level of the exercises corresponds to the course content and to the reference texts indicated on the DIR platform. The questions cover topics developed during the course. The final grade is expressed on a 30-point scale (from 18 to 30 cum laude). To pass the exam, students must achieve a minimum passing grade in both sections: at least 12/20 in Section A and 6/10 in Section B.
In both the exams (Principles of Public and Private Law) test demonstrating a reasonable level of knowledge of the subject matter will be considered satisfactory; a test demonstrating minimal knowledge of the program will be considered sufficient. Finally, a test demonstrating gaps in knowledge or an inability to process the content will be considered insufficient. Honors are awarded to candidates who demonstrate excellent knowledge in both sections and a strong ability to analyze and elaborate the topics.

IMPORTANT: The Private Law Institutions and the Public Law Institutions courses are integrated. Students who receive a passing grade in both exams are required to register for the official grade recording session. The final grade represents the overall, integrated and joint assessment conducted by the instructors of both integrated courses, taking into account the results of both exams.

GENDER MAINSTREAMING In the discussion of the programme, particular attention is dedicated to gender mainstreaming. Reflection works in a transversal way: gender mainstreaming will be taken into consideration with regards to equality principle (formal and supportive); political participation rights; choices concerning the body; equality, merit and well-being in the field of employment, education and pay.

GENDER INTEGRATION. The program focuses specifically on the gender dimension. This reflection will operate across the board through the integration of public and private law. In private law, integration will focus on the protection of personality rights, gender identity and the prohibition of discrimination in private relationships; equality and parity in intra-family relationships; the principle of non-discrimination in contractual autonomy and in access to goods and services; the protection of individuals and compensation for damages resulting from unlawful acts.

To achieve the skills and knowledge expected at the end of the course, the student is required to know the basic notions of public law and private law, as well as the methods of applying them in the business tourist context, so as to reach the end of the course knowing how to examine with a critical spirit and understand a practical case in order to find a concrete solution.
